Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic gymnastics is so much more than running around the floor, twirling a ribbon or throwing a ball in front of the judges. The sport combines ballet, dance, extreme flexibility, strength and A LOT of hand-eye coordination.
Rhythmic Gymnasts perform freehand or using one of 5 apparatus and which must be kept in constant movement throughout their routine. These apparatus are rope, ball, clubs, hoop and ribbon. Each has their own particular set of skills to be learnt to enable the gymnast to execute the throws, catches and balances for each.
